In December 2017, we had the honor of welcoming Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom and world-renowned model and actress Cara Delevingne to our hotel. Both were filming the upcoming television series *Carnival Row*.
Orlando Bloom is a British actor who rose to fame with his first major film role as Legolas in *The Lord of the Rings* trilogy (1999). Further success soon followed with the *Pirates of the Caribbean* trilogy (2003), where he played Will Turner alongside Johnny Depp and Keira Knightley, and subsequently took on the role of Prince Paris in the historical epic *Troy* with Brad Pitt. These roles propelled him to the ranks of Hollywood stars and the pinnacle of fame. He also played the Duke of Buckingham in the film *The Three Musketeers* alongside Luke Evans and appeared in another J.R.R. Tolkien adaptation directed by Peter Jackson: *The Hobbit*.
Cara Jocelyn Delevingne is a British model, actress, and singer. She has been working as a model since 2009, walking the runway for brands such as Burberry, Zara, Chanel, Blumarine, Oscar de la Renta, Stella McCartney, and others. She has appeared on the cover of *Vogue* three times and won the "Model of the Year" award at the British Fashion Awards. In 2012, she landed a small role in the film adaptation of *Anna Karenina*. She starred alongside Kate Beckinsale and Daniel Brühl in the thriller *The Face of an Angel* and played a lead role in the adaptation of John Green's novel *Paper Towns*. She also appeared in the films *Suicide Squad*, *Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets*, *Tulip Fever*, and *London Fields*.
We also had the honor of hosting former ice hockey goaltender Dominik Hašek.
A living legend of Czech and Czechoslovak sports, goaltender Dominik Hašek is considered by many to be one of the greatest hockey players—and athletes—of all time. Arguably the most famous moment of his career came in 1998, when he represented the Czech Republic at the Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan. Over six games against the world's best players, he conceded only six goals and literally backstopped our country to its first-ever Olympic gold medal. Although he was one of the NHL's top goaltenders, he decided to retire for good after winning his second Stanley Cup in 2008, choosing instead to focus on his family and business ventures.
In August 2020, we were visited by Vlastimil Košťál—former president of the Sparta football club, manager of the Czech national football team, and vice-chairman of the Czech-Moravian Football Association.
In early 2020, we hosted an Italian singer named Stefano Righini at our hotel; he rose to fame in the 1980s with the hit "Vamos a la playa" ("Let's Go to the Beach"). He also released the song "No tengo dinero" ("I Have No Money"). Both singles enjoyed success on the music charts.
In 2017, our guest was Mr. Radek Jaroš, born on April 29, 1964, in Nové Město na Moravě.
Mr. Jaroš is a professional mountaineer and photographer. In 2014, he successfully climbed the last of the fourteen 8,000-meter peaks—K2—thereby earning a place in the hall of fame of world mountaineering.
He became the first Czech, and only the 15th person in the world, to complete the Crown of the Himalayas in this manner.
Gianni Motta (born March 13, 1943) is a former Italian racing cyclist. He was born in Cassano d'Adda (Lombardy).
His major victories include the Giro d'Italia (1966), the Giro di Lombardia (1964), the Tour de Suisse (1967), and two editions of the Tour de Romandie (1966, 1971).
Like many racers before him, he turned to the manufacture and sale of bicycles after his racing career.
In December 2017, our guest was Josef Melen, a child singing star of the 1980s best known for the timeless hit "Né, pětku ne." He released his first single, "Moucha," with Viktor Sodoma in 1983; a year later, F.R. Čech wrote Czech lyrics tailored for him to the tune of "No Milk Today," resulting in the Czech version titled "Né, 5 ne." In 1986, he joined František Janeček’s "Kroky" ensemble, performing as a singer and drummer until 1989. Before the Revolution, he also spent a few months with Petr Hanig’s group, Maximum. He appeared in several televised fairy-tale productions and collaborated with Ladislav Štaidl.
Zuzana Bubílková (born May 11, 1952, in Zlín) is a Czech comedic actress, television journalist, commentator, and presenter. Her best-known television and stage productions were the politically themed satirical series *S politiky netančím* ("I Don't Dance with Politicians") on ČT1 and later *Politické harašení* ("Political Harassment") on TV Nova, both of which she created in collaboration with Miloslav Šimek.
In April 2015, we hosted the popular band CHINASKI, which sold out two concerts in our city—an unrivaled success. Its members are Michal Malátný, Otakar Petřina, František Táborský, Ondřej Škoch, Štěpán Škoch, and Petr Kužvart.
In May 2014, our hotel was visited by *Partička*—an entertaining improv show featuring Richard Genzer, Michal Suchánek, Igor Chmela, Ondřej Sokol, Daniel Dangl, and Marian Čurko.

Ondra Štorek from the band Rybičky 48
Rybičky 48 is a Czech pop-punk band from Kutná Hora, founded in 2002. Originally named Banánové Rybičky, the band was forced to change its name. In 2004, the group took third place in the "Naděje beatu" contest on Radio BEAT, and a year later, they won the "Bitva o Sázavafest" competition. Rybičky 48 has performed as a supporting act for the legendary American band The Offspring, among others. To date, the band has played over a thousand concerts in the Czech Republic and abroad and is a sought-after festival draw.
Michal Barda is a handball goalkeeper and coach who competed in the 1988 Summer Olympics; he was a member of TJ Sokol Úvaly and played in the Czech Republic and Germany. He is considered one of the world's best handball goalkeepers and was a key figure in the Czechoslovak national team.
